Relax with a nice, cold PBC brew and get balanced.

At PBC, we believe beer is something that should be easy to enjoy, not a challenge. As such, PBC beers are eloquently hopped to produce a clean and balanced bitterness free of harsh flavors.

The PBC Philosophy is derived from the natural regions of the Pacific Rim. With a tip of the cap to our brothers and sisters around the ring of fire, we have molded our beers to reflect the lifestyles that are born from the Pacific coastal environment. Like the Pacific, PBC beers are Clean, Cold and Bountiful . Drawing upon years of brewing experience and knowledge, we have crafted our beers with the promise of mutually clean fermentations and bitterness.

Golden Coast Blonde

ABV: 4.5% | Food Pairing: Grilled Fish Tacos

A light-bodied ale that glows like its name-sake, this is the ultimate refresher. Delivering a crisp finish with delicate fruity aromas and flavors, GCB is enjoyable in any setting. Perfect for summer days, outdoor adventures and firing up the grill!

Sticky Icky

ABV: 7.7% | Food Pairing: Braised Short Ribs w/ Rich Mashed Potatoes

Oooooh Weeee! Our hybrid strong ale harnesses the energy from the wild regions of the Pacific Rim. Haunting, exotic flavors of roasted-toffee, chocolate & spice support the dank, hoppy kudzu creeping up to snatch the imbiber unawares. At a very seductive 7.7% ABV, more than one lost soul has fallen quarry to its voracious appetite!

Octo-Rye IPA

ABV: 8.0% | Food Pairing: Fried Chicken & Waffles

Unleashed from the depths of PBC, our 8% ABV Rye IPA is a master of camouflage. Distinctly smooth and sultry up front, it renders one fully unprepared for the mind-bending blast of citrus and rye spice working harmoniously with the complex malty richness on the back end. This one packs the full eight tentacles of deliciousness!

The Cruiser

ABV: 5.4% | Food Pairing: Gourmet Cheeseburger w/ Sweet Potato Fries

Like rolling up the boulevard with the top down on your ’64, this beer was made to enjoy the ride. Easy-drinking and yet bursting with flavor, The Cruiser will make you believe in Pale Ales again. A smooth presence of toasted-biscuit initially belies the fruity, jam-like hop flavors waiting in the wings. This is the "make it happen" beer for any occasion and goes fantastic with burgers or spicy foods!

Bombora IPA

ABV: 6.7% | Food Pairing: Jamaican Jerk Chicken w/ Mango Salsa

A Bombora is no ordinary wave, and our West Coast style IPA appropriately follows suite. Alluringly pungent yet soft bitterness provides the backbone for lush, tropical and citrus fruit aromatics. Drop in and enjoy the ride; the PBC Bombora is always firing!

The
Brewers

Chris Chalmers

Borne from the sticky swamps of Florida and delivered to the crisp Rocky Mountains at an early age, Chris has cultivated a unique blend of environments to suit his style. After homebrewing for several years, he decided to go all-in and transferred from CU-Boulder in 2005 to the Food Science undergrad program at UC Davis. While learning the science of brewing chemistry, he spent a bodacious summer as an intern in the lab with Stone Brewing Company and, upon graduation, moved to San Diego to continue as a brewer with Stone. It was serendipity when Chris and Andrew quickly realized they had the same vision & taste for beer styles. Like the Zombie Apocalypse, there was no turning back. Pacific Brewing Company was established in 2012 with fellow Stone Brewer, Andrew Heino, and opened its doors to the public March 2014.

Andrew Heino

Born and raised in San Diego, Andrew quickly fell in love with brewing craft beer after he realized it was actually a possibility for someone to brew great craft beer in the comfort of their own home. After graduating with a business degree in 2005, he began his journey into understanding the art and science of craft brewing by studying the available brewing literature, brewing nonstop at home, and volunteering for brewery work at nearby San Diego breweries. By 2007, he landed a job with Stone Brewing Company as their only assistant brewer. Things quickly grew at Stone, as well as the availability to move up in brewing knowledge and responsibility. By 2011, Andrew left Stone Brewing with hopes of starting his own brewing company. Pacific Brewing Company was established later that year with fellow Stone Brewer, Chris Chalmers.
